Banking interest...

Post  Selzin on Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:02 am

tell me guys what you think of this idea.

Problem: You can do zone trading with money, tags, or drinks. This makes it very limited for people who do not have a ton of money in zone 1 to trade this way. The ratio is ridiculous in here, so you would need a TON of money to be able to even compete on the market.

Solution: Seeing as there is no cap on money in the jungle bank on zone 1, why don't we all throw into one money bank and gain a ridiculous amount of interest.
We can setup one person as banker and give them all the money.
Ie; If I'm the banker and I have 100bil, at 5% interest I would be gaining 5bil a day.
Now if I add everyone in the corps their money to the bank, (we will say 900bill from everyone, including my 100bill), then we would be gaining interest on 1trillion, which would be 50billion a day.

We can setup a banker sub forum, so our members can post how much they are donating to the cause. The interest collected would be applied to the corps and not the players. This is so the corps will able to trade z1 money, for z2 money or tags.

This would be a voluntary deal and not required, and the person donating will not gain anything from it themselves, but it will help the corp. Of course if the member, at anytime wants to withdraw their money, then they may do so, it will be the exact amount they put in.

Benefits:
-You will be benefiting the corp in which you are in.
-Money/Items can be given to corp members more often if we are able to gain additional money/tags
(The above mentioned will be up the officers in the corp. (In fact having officers who are in charge of the money and allocating where it should go would be a good thing. There should be more then two officers to make sure there is a balance and that we are not spending this money on bad deals or frivolous items.
-The corps can setup contests and rewards for our members if we are able to gain this additional edge from trading our money between zones.
-The best armor/weapons can be acquired if we are able to acquire more zone 2 money.
-Once we have a decent size bank and reach the level of the equivalent of the jungle bank in zone2, then we can just transfer this idea to zone2.
(Assuming the corp bank does not collect interest in zone 2, not sure on that one yet.)

I know some of us here in zone2 are not allied with each other in zone1, but let's face it, who is really playing zone1 seriously these days? I'm on zone1 only to gain all the tags/drinks/money I can get my hand on, only to trade in zone 2.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please give me your comments on this guys, I may be overlooking something simple or unforeseen problem so a different perspective is nice to have.

I want to see what the others think of it first before taking any steps in starting it.
